Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in a handful of sprinkles and herbs.
  7. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and top with remaining sprinkles.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
