- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sprinkles
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in a handful of sprinkles and herbs.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and top with remaining sprinkles.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
