Description

Delicious buttery biscuits filled with tender, savory beef and served with a rich au jus for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chuck roast or brisket
  • 1 package store-bought or homemade biscuits
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Fresh rosemary and thyme
  • Optional: Provolone or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef: Season your beef with salt and pepper before browning it in a hot skillet until it’s deeply caramelized.
  2. Build the broth: In the same skillet, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant, then add your beef back in along with beef broth and herbs. Let it simmer until the meat is tender.
  3. Prepare the biscuits: Bake your biscuits according to package instructions or your own recipe.
  4. Assemble the dish: Slice the biscuits open and pile on the tender beef. Drizzle with au jus and add cheese if desired.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Serve each biscuit with a bowl of au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

For a lighter option, you can substitute rotisserie chicken for the beef and vegetable broth for a lighter au jus.
