Description
Delicious buttery biscuits filled with tender, savory beef and served with a rich au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chuck roast or brisket
- 1 package store-bought or homemade biscuits
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup beef broth
- Fresh rosemary and thyme
- Optional: Provolone or mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the beef: Season your beef with salt and pepper before browning it in a hot skillet until it’s deeply caramelized.
- Build the broth: In the same skillet, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant, then add your beef back in along with beef broth and herbs. Let it simmer until the meat is tender.
- Prepare the biscuits: Bake your biscuits according to package instructions or your own recipe.
- Assemble the dish: Slice the biscuits open and pile on the tender beef. Drizzle with au jus and add cheese if desired.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve each biscuit with a bowl of au jus on the side for dipping.
Notes
For a lighter option, you can substitute rotisserie chicken for the beef and vegetable broth for a lighter au jus.
