Description

A cozy twist on a classic favorite, French Dip Squares combine tender roast beef, gooey cheese, and flaky crescent roll dough, served with a rich au jus for a delightful dipping experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 cup sliced provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup au jus

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to the temperature recommended on the crescent roll packaging.
  2. Prepare a baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic in a skillet with melted butter over medium heat until fragrant.
  4. Layer the unrolled crescent dough into the baking dish, then add the roast beef, sautéed garlic, herbs, and cheese.
  5. Seal with another layer of crescent dough, brushing the top with melted butter and sprinkling salt.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve cut into squares alongside heated au jus for dipping.

Notes
