Instructions
- Prepare the Green Beans: Trim the ends of the French Green Beans. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the beans. Blanch them for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet crisp. Transfer them to an ice bath.
- Toast the Almonds: In a skillet over medium heat, add the slivered almonds. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes until golden and fragrant.
- Combine Ingredients: In the same skillet, add butter (or olive oil) and minced garlic. Once melted, add the blanched green beans and toss gently.
- Finish with Flavor: Stir in the toasted almonds and lemon zest, if using. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.
