Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Wash and slice the peaches thinly; peeling is optional.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Fold in the sliced peaches gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream, if desired.
