Instructions

  2. Wash and slice the peaches thinly; peeling is optional.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Fold in the sliced peaches gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
