- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix granulated sugar and brown sugar, then add vegetable oil and blend until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly. Add buttermilk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Cover and chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls, then coat in powdered sugar.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until crinkled but still soft in the center.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
