Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), sliced thinly against the grain
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: sesame seeds or chopped scallions for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients: Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tenderness. Mince the garlic and chop the asparagus into bite-sized pieces.
- Sauté the beef: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the beef slices. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
- Garlic and asparagus: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed and toss in the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the asparagus and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
- Combine and season: Return the beef to the skillet, add soy sauce, and stir to combine. Cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes. Taste, and season with black pepper as desired.
- Serve: Plate your Garlic Asparagus Beef over rice or noodles, garnish with sesame seeds or scallions, and enjoy!
