Description

A delightful dessert blending rich chocolate, nutty pecans, and sweet coconut, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 8 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup pecans (whole or chopped)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If using a store-bought crust, follow package instructions. For homemade, roll it out and fit it into a pie plate, then blind-bake until golden.
  2. In a saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Add the melted chocolate mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in shredded coconut and pecans until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Let the pie cool completely before slicing to ensure clean cuts and enhanced flavor.
  7. Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For gluten-free, use a gluten-free pie crust. Substitute pecans with walnuts or omit coconut if preferred.
