A delightful gingerbread syrup that transforms coffee into a festive treat, combining the warmth of spices with sweet brown sugar.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons finely grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix together brown sugar and water, then add grated ginger and spices.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Cool the syrup and transfer it to a glass jar or bottle for storage.
- Drizzle into coffee, or use in desserts as desired.
Notes
For a different sweet profile, substitute brown sugar with maple syrup or honey. Adjust the sweetness to taste.
