- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but the centers are still soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Sprinkle a little sea salt on top right after baking for added flavor.
