Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Green gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a jelly roll pan (15×10 inches) with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar with a hand mixer until fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg-sugar mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then flip onto a towel dusted with confectioner’s sugar and carefully roll up.
  8. Beat together softened cream cheese, confectioner’s sugar, vanilla, and food coloring until smooth.
  9. Unroll the cake, spread the filling evenly, and roll back up without the towel.
  10. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  11. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
