- 1–2 teaspoons green food coloring
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or white)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and mint extract until well blended.
- Gradually add in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the green food coloring until the desired hue is achieved.
- Gentle incorporate the chocolate chips into the dough.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still appear soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for enhanced flavor and better shape.
