Description
A simple and addictive recipe for crispy air-fried halloumi, capturing the nostalgic flavors of summer barbecues.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces halloumi cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (oregano or mixed Italian herbs)
- Optional fresh veggies (bell peppers, zucchini, or cherry tomatoes)
Instructions
- Slice halloumi cheese into thick slabs (about 1 cm each).
- Drizzle olive oil over the cheese, then add garlic powder and dried herbs, coating each piece evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the halloumi pieces in the fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot, drizzled with balsamic glaze or your favorite salsa.
Notes
Thicker slices retain the cheese’s chewiness. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking.
