- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour the Bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the sugar, oil, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla.
- If using, fold in pumpkin puree into the wet mixture.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes; then invert onto a plate to cool completely.
- Drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk and decorate as desired.
