- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp allspice (optional)
- 1 large egg (or flaxseed egg for vegan option)
- 1 tsp salt
- Powdered sugar for icing
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Milk to achieve icing consistency
Instructions
- Bloom yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar for about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well, add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Knead until smooth (5-7 minutes).
- Place dough in a greased bowl and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter for the filling.
- Roll dough into a rectangle, spread filling, and roll tightly into a log. Slice into 1-inch pieces.
- Arrange rolls in a greased dish and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk for icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.

For extra softness, ensure ingredients are at room temperature. Adjust flour for stickiness carefully to avoid tough rolls.
