Description

A flavorful shrimp dish inspired by the vibrant tastes of Hawaii, featuring tender shrimp sautéed with garlic and sweet pineapple for an unforgettable taste experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they start to turn pink.
  4. Stir in pineapple chunks and soy sauce; cook for an additional minute.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with cilantro or green onions, and serve hot with steamed rice or bread.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp; they should be removed from heat as soon as they turn pink and opaque. You can substitute shrimp with scallops or firm tofu for a different protein option.
