Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they start to turn pink.
- Stir in pineapple chunks and soy sauce; cook for an additional minute.
- Remove from heat, garnish with cilantro or green onions, and serve hot with steamed rice or bread.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp; they should be removed from heat as soon as they turn pink and opaque. You can substitute shrimp with scallops or firm tofu for a different protein option.
