- 1 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated and brown sugars.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the sugars and whisk until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate. They pair well with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
