Ingredients

- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk mixed with plain yogurt)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Dried herbs (oregano, thyme, etc.) to taste
- 2 eggs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and marinate in buttermilk with salt and pepper for at least 1 hour.
- Mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried herbs.
- Set up a breading station. Dip marinated chicken in breadcrumbs, coating well.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Test with a piece of bread to check readiness.
- Fry chicken nuggets in batches until golden brown and crispy, around 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil and serve hot with dipping sauces.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider baking the nuggets or using an air fryer for a crispy texture without excess oil.
