Delightful homemade peppermint patties that combine rich chocolate with a smooth mint center, perfect for festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
Instructions
- Mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract in a bowl until a thick dough forms.
- Dust countertop with powdered sugar, roll out the mixture to 1/4-inch thickness, and cut out patties.
- Chill cutouts in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
- Dip each chilled patty into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate until chocolate hardens completely (about 30 minutes).
- Optionally drizzle extra melted chocolate or sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy.
Notes
Allow patties to chill completely before dipping to maintain their shape and prevent a heavy chocolate coating.
