Description

Delightful homemade peppermint patties that combine rich chocolate with a smooth mint center, perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract in a bowl until a thick dough forms.
  2. Dust countertop with powdered sugar, roll out the mixture to 1/4-inch thickness, and cut out patties.
  3. Chill cutouts in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
  5. Dip each chilled patty into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Refrigerate until chocolate hardens completely (about 30 minutes).
  7. Optionally drizzle extra melted chocolate or sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy.

Notes

Allow patties to chill completely before dipping to maintain their shape and prevent a heavy chocolate coating.
