Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chicken, honey, barbecue sauce, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. For skillet method: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook marinated chicken in a single layer for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, flipping occasionally.
  4. For oven method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread marinated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Drizzle extra honey over cooked chicken and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken pieces are not overcrowded in the pan for even cooking. Adjust flavors according to your taste preferences.
