Description
A warm and nostalgic dish featuring tender pork chops in a flavorful honey garlic sauce, perfect for family meals and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, optional)
- Sautéed mushrooms and green beans for serving
Instructions
- Prep your pork chops by patting them dry and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and cover.
- Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in honey and soy sauce, scraping up any brown bits from the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon glaze over them. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- For added flavor, mix in fresh herbs or red pepper flakes before serving.
- Serve hot with sautéed mushrooms and vegetables or a fresh salad.
Notes
Feel free to substitute maple syrup for honey or use grapeseed oil instead of olive oil. Adjust the amount of garlic based on your preference.
