  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary, optional)
  • Sautéed mushrooms and green beans for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep your pork chops by patting them dry and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and cover.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Stir in honey and soy sauce, scraping up any brown bits from the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon glaze over them. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  6. For added flavor, mix in fresh herbs or red pepper flakes before serving.
  7. Serve hot with sautéed mushrooms and vegetables or a fresh salad.

Notes

Feel free to substitute maple syrup for honey or use grapeseed oil instead of olive oil. Adjust the amount of garlic based on your preference.
