Description
A delightful blend of tart cranberries and spicy jalapeños that brings warmth and joy to holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 fresh jalapeños, seeds removed and finely chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup fresh herbs (cilantro or chives), chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water, discarding any that are mushy. Finely chop the jalapeños, wearing gloves if sensitive to heat.
- In a skillet, add olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic and chopped jalapeños for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Fold in the sour cream, sautéed garlic and jalapeños, and sugar. Stir in the cranberries and chopped herbs.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. For extra heat, add more jalapeño if desired.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let it sit for a few moments before serving with crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh veggies.
Notes
Don’t overcook the cranberries and adjust the heat level to your preference.
