- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 box yellow or vanilla cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- Whipped cream and maraschino cherries, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the crushed pineapple, then add the dry cake mix and blend until just combined.
- Pour the melted butter over the batter and gently fold until everything is incorporated.
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the batter into it, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and put it in the oven.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving warm with scoops of ice cream, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Ensure not to overmix the batter for a light texture.
