Ingredients
- Chicken thighs or breasts (skinless, boneless)
- Gravy mix or homemade gravy
- Chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- Onions (chopped)
- Garlic (minced)
- Thyme or rosemary (optional)
- Salt and pepper
- Carrots (chopped)
- Celery (chopped)
- Mushrooms (sliced)
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by placing thighs into the crockpot and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add the chopped onions, minced garlic, and herbs over the chicken.
- Mix the gravy using package instructions and pour it over the chicken.
- Pour enough chicken broth to cover the chicken.
- Toss in vegetables on top, placing root veggies closer to the bottom.
- Cover and set the crockpot to low for 6–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours.
- Shred the chicken with two forks before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
Add a dollop of sour cream or sprinkle fresh parsley before serving for extra flavor.
