- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2–3 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour for a nuttier flavor)
- Butter for brushing
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, yogurt, baking powder, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour and salt to the mixture, stirring until it forms a semi-sticky dough.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rest for at least an hour.
- After resting, divide the dough into equal portions, roll each piece into a ball, and flatten it into a disc, about ¼ inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the naan until bubbly and golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Brush with melted butter right after cooking and sprinkle herbs on top if desired.
- Serve warm alongside your favorite dishes!
