Description
A savory and tender pulled beef sandwich, perfect for gathering friends and family on game day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 lbs beef roast (chuck roast or brisket)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup beef stock or broth
- Buns (brioche, ciabatta, or hamburger buns)
Instructions
- Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, and spices. Sear it in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown on all sides.
- Sauté onions in the same skillet until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Place the beef and sautéed onions in a slow cooker. Pour in BBQ sauce and stock, ensuring the beef is well-coated. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the beef using two forks and return it to the cooker, mixing it into the sauce.
- Serve the pulled beef on toasted buns and add your favorite toppings, such as coleslaw or pickles.
Notes
For variations, use brisket for a leaner option or jackfruit for a vegetarian twist. Don’t rush the cooking process to achieve maximum tenderness.
