Instructions

- Mix the all-purpose flour and baking soda together in a bowl.
- Cream the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and beat until fully combined.
- Incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.
- Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, replace all-purpose flour with almond flour. For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil instead of butter.
