- 4 fresh salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3–4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Fresh herbs (parsley or dill)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and pat the salmon fillets dry, seasoning generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about a minute.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet, cooking undisturbed for 4–5 minutes.
- Flip the fillets gently, pouring the melted butter over the top and cooking for another 3–4 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon, adding lemon zest and fresh herbs in the last minute of cooking.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
Be careful not to overcook the salmon to maintain its moisture and flakiness.
