Description
A delightful and easy Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon recipe that combines rich salmon with zesty lemon and garlic, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or dill, for garnish
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add lemon juice and zest, allowing the mixture to bubble.
- Place salmon skin-side down in the skillet, spooning garlic butter over the top.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes, then flip the fillets. Alternatively, place on a lined baking sheet and pour the garlic-lemon butter over it for baking.
- Bake or sauté until the salmon flakes easily, about another 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
- Serve with your choice of sides.
Notes
For a vegan option, try using tofu and olive oil instead of butter. Be careful not to overcook the salmon; it should be slightly pink in the center when removed from heat.
