- 4 tilapia fillets
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the tilapia fillets to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Gently flip the fillets, squeeze lemon juice over the top, and add remaining butter to the pan.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute butter with olive oil. You can also pair this dish with sautéed vegetables, a light green salad, or grains like quinoa or rice.
