Description

A light and vibrant lemon panna cotta dessert that captures the essence of summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon powdered gelatin or 2 sheets gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, making sure it doesn’t boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Pour into serving glasses or ramekins and cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours until set.
  6. Garnish with fresh berries and serve.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. You can also use honey or agave nectar instead of sugar.
