Description
A rich and creamy Basque cheesecake made in a loaf pan, perfect for gatherings and family moments.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line your loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Mix in a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar. Beat on medium speed until creamy and smooth, without lumps.
- Add the eggs slowly, one at a time, mixing until just combined.
- Blend in heavy cream and vanilla extract until the batter is silky.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top is browned and the interior is slightly wobbly.
- Cool for about 15 minutes before transferring to the fridge for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Use the parchment overhang to lift out your cheesecake, slice, and serve as is or with your choice of toppings.
Notes
For added flavor, mix in a tablespoon of lemon juice or a swirl of raspberry coulis. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before serving for an elevated taste.
