A delightful fusion of textures and flavors, featuring tender barramundi crusted with buttery macadamia nuts and served with a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Fresh barramundi fillets
  • 1 cup Macadamia nuts, crushed
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your ingredients by chopping macadamia nuts and mixing them with breadcrumbs, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prep the barramundi by rinsing and drying the fillets, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Coat the top side of the fish with olive oil or melted butter, then press the crust mixture firmly onto it.
  5. Bake the coated fillets on a lined baking sheet for about 15-20 minutes until the fish flakes easily and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use ground almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs. Substitute barramundi with snapper or cod if unavailable.
