Description

Delicious Maple Bars with a fluffy texture and a rich maple glaze, perfect for any family gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Fold in the maple syrup.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. While the bars cool, mix powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth to create glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over cooled bars and let it set before slicing into squares.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Be careful not to overmix the batter for fluffy bars. Allow them to cool before glazing for the best texture.
