Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and mix until well combined.
  4. Sift together flour, matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced a few inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
