- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup diced carrots

- 2 tsp fresh thyme

- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Sauté the onions and garlic in a skillet with oil until fragrant and translucent.
- Brown the ground meat in the skillet until no pink remains.
- Add the diced carrots and peas along with fresh herbs, and pour in broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prepare your pie crust by laying it in a deep-dish pie pan.
- Scoop in the meat mixture, then cover with a top layer of dough if desired.
- Seal the edges and create vents in the top crust.
- Brush the crust with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
