Description

A delightful and flavorful dish combining the richness of butter with the umami depth of miso, creating a perfect salmon recipe that brings family together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh salmon fillets (wild-caught preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the miso paste and softened butter. Add minced garlic and soy sauce, blending until creamy.
  3. Pat dry the salmon fillets and place them on a lined baking sheet. Lightly salt each piece.
  4. Generously spread the miso butter over the top of each fillet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Finish by squeezing fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.

Notes

For a little char, place the salmon under the broiler for the last few minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for perfectly cooked salmon.
