- Fresh salmon fillets (wild-caught preferred)
- 2 tablespoons white miso paste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the miso paste and softened butter. Add minced garlic and soy sauce, blending until creamy.
- Pat dry the salmon fillets and place them on a lined baking sheet. Lightly salt each piece.
- Generously spread the miso butter over the top of each fillet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Finish by squeezing fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
Notes
For a little char, place the salmon under the broiler for the last few minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for perfectly cooked salmon.
