Description

A comforting dessert featuring soft, sweet peaches beneath a creamy, custard-like pudding base, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh or frozen peaches
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Cinnamon (for sprinkling)
  • Nutmeg (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them; if frozen, allow them to thaw slightly.
  3. Combine sliced peaches with ¼ cup of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, ½ cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add to dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the baking dish and top with the peach mixture.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and set.
  9. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute butter with coconut oil and use almond milk. The recipe can also be adapted with other fruits like cherries or apricots.
