- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- Nutmeg (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them; if frozen, allow them to thaw slightly.
- Combine sliced peaches with ¼ cup of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, ½ cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, and eggs. Gradually add to dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the baking dish and top with the peach mixture.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute butter with coconut oil and use almond milk. The recipe can also be adapted with other fruits like cherries or apricots.
