Description
A nostalgic dish featuring succulent pork chops seared to perfection and topped with a creamy, peppery sauce.
Ingredients
- Pork Chops (bone-in or boneless)
- Heavy Cream
- Fresh Garlic, minced
- Cracked Black Peppercorns
- Beef or Chicken Broth
- Butter
- Fresh Herbs (thyme or parsley)
Instructions
- Season your pork chops with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat in a skillet.
- Place the pork chops in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Let the pork chops rest on a warm plate.
- Add butter to the skillet, then toss in the minced garlic and cracked peppercorns.
- Pour in the broth and deglaze the pan.
- Allow the broth to reduce before mixing in the cream.
- Drizzle the sauce generously over the pork chops before serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with sides.
Notes
For a lighter option, half-and-half can replace the heavy cream. Be sure to let the pork rest for juiciness.
