  • Author: chefcletus

Description

A nostalgic dish featuring succulent pork chops seared to perfection and topped with a creamy, peppery sauce.

Ingredients

  • Pork Chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • Heavy Cream
  • Fresh Garlic, minced
  • Cracked Black Peppercorns
  • Beef or Chicken Broth
  • Butter
  • Fresh Herbs (thyme or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Season your pork chops with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat in a skillet.
  3. Place the pork chops in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Let the pork chops rest on a warm plate.
  5. Add butter to the skillet, then toss in the minced garlic and cracked peppercorns.
  6. Pour in the broth and deglaze the pan.
  7. Allow the broth to reduce before mixing in the cream.
  8. Drizzle the sauce generously over the pork chops before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with sides.

Notes

For a lighter option, half-and-half can replace the heavy cream. Be sure to let the pork rest for juiciness.
