Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup molasses
- 3 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- Pink food coloring
Instructions
- Cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and molasses.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and spices. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Wrap the dough in plastic and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and roll out the chilled dough to ¼-inch thick. Cut out gingerbread pieces.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until crisp. Allow to cool completely.
- Prepare the pink icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and food coloring until smooth.
- Assemble the house using icing as glue, then decorate with candies and sprinkles.
- Allow everything to set before displaying and enjoy your creation!
