- 1 cup fresh mushrooms (cremini or button), sautéed
- 1 cup cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, goat cheese, or ricotta)
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (thyme, parsley)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, or milk for a dairy-free alternative)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Sauté sliced mushrooms in a skillet over medium heat with olive oil, salt, and pepper; let cool.
- Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle, about 1/8-inch thick; cut into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture at the wide end of each triangle; roll towards the point to form a cone shape.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use chilled puff pastry for best results. Avoid overcrowding the filling to prevent tearing.
