Description

A delightful dish featuring flaky puff pastry shaped like trees, filled with rich burrata cheese and drizzled with a sweet and tangy cranberry glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar (brown sugar recommended)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (to taste)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, or use milk)
  • Water (for simmering cranberries)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, add cranberries, sugar, and a splash of water. Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and the mixture thickens (about 10 minutes).
  3. On a floured surface, roll out puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into triangles.
  4. Layer triangles with small dollops of burrata and form into tree shapes.
  5. Brush exposed pastry with egg wash or milk.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle the warm cranberry glaze over the baked trees and serve warm.

Notes

Chill the assembled trees before baking for better puffing. Use fresh herbs for enhanced flavor.
