Description
Delightful puff pastry trees filled with creamy burrata and drizzled with a tart cranberry glaze, perfect for holiday gatherings or special family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package puff pastry (pre-rolled)
- 1 cup burrata cheese (or fresh mozzarella)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or frozen, thawed)
- 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (or dried herbs)
- 1 egg (for egg wash or milk for vegan option)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about a ¼-inch thickness. Cut the pastry into triangular shapes, resembling tree silhouettes.
- Create layers by stacking the triangles on top of each other, leaving space at the base for a trunk.
- Brush each layer with an egg wash or milk.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until beautifully puffed and golden brown.
- Prepare the cranberry glaze by cooking cranberries with honey and chopped rosemary over medium heat until thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Assemble by placing burrata in the center of a platter and stacking the puff pastry trees around it. Drizzle with cranberry glaze.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
