Ingredients

  • 1 tube of crescent roll dough
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack blend)
  • 1 cup diced ham (optional)
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms (cremini and shiitake)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or chives) for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook your choice of meat (if using) until browned; add chopped mushrooms and veggies and sauté until tender.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the greased baking dish to create a crust.
  5. Layer the sautéed mixture on top of the dough, followed by the cheese, then pour the egg mixture over everything.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until puffed and golden, covering with foil if browning too quickly.
