Description

Decadent Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies that blend the rich flavors of red velvet cake with creamy cheesecake filling.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and buttermilk, then stir in cocoa powder, flour, and red food coloring until just combined.
  5. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract for the cheesecake layer.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cheesecake mixture over it, followed by the remaining brownie batter and swirl to marble.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set but the center is slightly soft.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute with almond flour. Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing for better texture.
