Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with butter and dust with flour.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together butter and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs, one by one, mixing until incorporated, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Stir in cocoa powder and red food coloring.
- Slowly add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- In another bowl, whip together cream cheese, eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the red velvet batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges firm up and center is slightly gooey.
- Cool for 15 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar and slicing.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
