Ingredients

  • 1 Butterball turkey breast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub softened butter all over the turkey breast, including under the skin.
  4. Generously sprinkle the turkey with salt, pepper, and your selection of herbs.
  5. Inside the cavity, add quartered onions, garlic cloves, and lemon wedges.
  6. Place the turkey breast on a roasting pan with a rack.
  7. Insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest part of the breast and roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the pan juices.
  9. Once cooked, allow the turkey breast to rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve and enjoy with your favorite sides.

Avoid overcooking by monitoring the internal temperature closely. Rest the turkey after cooking to let the juices redistribute.
