- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup toffee bits (or chocolate chips)
- Sea salt flakes for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars together in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing well to combine.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl before gradually adding to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the toffee bits (or chocolate chips).
- Scoop the dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top immediately after baking.
- Cool on a wire rack before enjoying.
Notes
For gluten-free options, replace all-purpose flour with almond or oat flour. You can also use nuts or dried fruits as mix-ins.
