Description

Delicious salted caramel crunch cookies with a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the salted caramel sauce and chopped nuts if using.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top of each dough ball before baking.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute unsalted butter with coconut oil.
