- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the salted caramel sauce and chopped nuts if using.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top of each dough ball before baking.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute unsalted butter with coconut oil.
