Deliciously rich blondies featuring a perfect blend of sweet and salty flavors with crunchy pretzels and drizzled caramel.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup pretzels, chopped
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
- Optional: chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until fully melted.
- Remove from heat and whisk in brown sugar until well blended. Allow to cool slightly, then mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in pretzel pieces and any optional add-ins.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While still warm, drizzle salted caramel sauce on top.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle a touch of sea salt on top after drizzling the caramel.
